To allow you to fully enjoy the hot springs of Boun

Kusatsu Onsen has over 100 natural hot springs of various sizes, and boasts the largest volume of hot spring water in Japan, the hot spring powerhouse that the area is known for. The common spring quality is acidic sulfur-containing aluminum sulfate and chloride hot springs. In addition to the general benefits of hot springs (nerve pain, muscle pain, joint pain, frozen shoulder, motor paralysis, stiff joints, bruises, sprains, chronic digestive diseases, hemorrhoids, poor circulation, recovery from illness, and health promotion), the hot springs are also highly effective for skin diseases, chronic gynecological diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure, and arteriosclerosis.

About the temperature of the water

When you soak in the hot water, you may feel a tingling sensation on your skin and the water may feel hotter than the actual temperature. This is also a characteristic of acidic hot spring water. We do our best to keep the temperature at 42-3 degrees Celsius without adding water, but if you feel the water is too hot or too lukewarm, please let us know. If it is too hot or too warm, please let us know and we will adjust the temperature as needed.
